With the school year upon us, we thought we'd share with you some outfit ideas and inspiration for your first few weeks back! If you are university students like us, you pretty much have free reign to wear whatever you want. Same goes for those of you in college (or cegep if you live in Quebec). However, if you are a High School student, you might have a uniform or a dress code. In that case, you can use this lookbook as a reference for what to wear at your after school hang out with friends or weekend event. If you do not have a school dress code than lucky you! We hope, for all cases, this will inspire you in different ways for your school weeks ahead!

I like to kick the week off with a bang when it comes to my outfits. For me, dressing up for school keeps me motivated and keeps me going. When I look good, I feel good and I'm ready for my day. So, I chose a sweater and skirt combo for my Monday outfit. It's an easy combo that could be played up with accessories or played down for those low-key days when you still want to dress up a little.

Mondays are my lazy days and all I want to do is stay in bed. I usually choose to wear something very comfortable like a loose T-shirt and tights. Plus, this is probably the easiest outfit for me to pick out especially when I wake up late and/or don't feel like wearing jeans.

For me, Tuesday is a slight slump. It's the day after Monday and the weekend seems so far away. So for my slump, I like to dress casually with a slight oomph. I repurposed this swimsuit as a bodysuit because the cut of it with a pair of jeans is flattering and casual, yet the fabric offers a chic edge.

One aspect you will notice in all of my outfits, is that comfort is key. On Tuesdays, I still like to go for the more relaxed look but try to be more put together. Knitted tops are my favorite to pair with jeans because you look like you put thought into your outfit when really it only took you 5 minutes to get dressed.

Every so often, I like to dress up in business chic wear. It's fun and makes me feel super chic and ready to take on the school day. I love these thin turtlenecks. They're perfect for that academic look during the warmer fall weather but also fantastic for layering when it gets colder.

Jeans are a staple in my wardrobe and I love sometimes adding a little more edge to my look. These are my new go-to jeans and believe it or not, the fishnets are actually sewn into the ripped patches. It gives such a laid back vibe and is super easy to style. I love pairing them with baseball shirts or band T's.

It's almost the weekend! This slip dress and t-shirt combo offers a fun break through the week but still remains casual and comfortable for trekking around campus.

During the Fall season, I love to incorporate some summer pieces with my fall items. For this look, I paired a tank top with a knitted cardigan. This is a great outfit for those days that are cold in the morning but hot during the day. Cardigans are usually very light and are more appropriate to wear in school.

It's Friday! I like to finish my week with a fun outfit, something chic to end the week and maybe even be able to quickly go out for a bite or a drink with friends after class. So I like any simple outfit played up with a heeled bootie. Offers comfort because it's a bootie but still adds an edge.

Sometimes I do like to get out of my comfort zone and decide to switch the jeans for a dress. Even though it's not very often, Fridays are usually when I try to break that routine especially if I have plans with friends after class. This denim dress is a great piece to dress up or down for a more casual look and it is super comfortable!
